Visual management and combining data
Data from different systems (e.g. HR and Finance) can be combined into one transparent org chart.
Afterwards rules can be applied to colour certain departments or positions. This allows visual management, using the well known organizational structure as the basic medium. Especially managers and executives will have a huge advantage from this easy to read information transport.
Organizational chart and position plan
As an alternative to the actual organizational chart (department tree), a position plan can be visualized. Photos and all information related to positions and employees can easily be displayed in this view.
Dotted line relationships
Besides the display of hierarchic relationships, Ingentis org.manager is able to visualize so called dotted line relationships as well.
Dotted line relationships can be displayed between organizational units, positions and employees and can be individually configured. As well the type as the direction of the relationship is visualized. It is also possibility to assign a caption to every single type of relationship.
Who is who system or online phone directory
Ingentis org.manager offers a variety of search options.
The user can search by department/section, by persons, or by any other data available (telephone number, room number, etc.). Search results are displayed in a result list. Selection of an entry causes the corresponding department/section and/or the name of the person concerned to be displayed within the overall company structure.
The search feature is also available in org.manager [html]. Therefore Ingentis org.mananger can very easily be used as an online phone directory or who is who system.
Printing
The versatile print features of Ingentis org.manager have been incorporated as a result of feedback from clients.
Besides simply printing the currently viewed organigram, it is also possible to print out an employee list or to use the folder print option, which enables the user to print out the complete organizational structure of a company page by page. A wide range of layout settings (e.g. user-defined header and footer, free logo positioning etc.) allows to individually configure the printout to fulfill all organizational needs.
Export functionality
Using the export to clipboard, the organigram can be pasted in any other tool (e.g. MS Word, MS PowerPoint). The image export allows you to save the currently displayed organigram to an image file such as Windows bitmap (*.bmp).
Besides exporting the picture of an org or position chart, there are various features to export data to MS Excel or MS Word. Since Ingentis org.manager is very often used to visualize data from different systems it can be very usefull to export those already consolidated data.
Hotspots and email functionality
Besides the creation of org and position charts, Ingentis org.manager also provides the possibility of automatically generating links to other applications like MS Outlook or MS Word.
For example this feature can be used to open extended position descriptions, which may be available in PDF or DOC format, directly from the organigram. Another field of application is to link objects inside organigrams with their specific intranet pages. Additionally emails can be sent or phone calls can be made directly from the employee list or position plan.
