Ingentis Innovation Days

Focus on People Analytics and modern forms of organization

Ingentis Innovation Days 2023 - Keynote Joachim Rotzinger

People Analytics, modern forms of organization and sustainability in companies were the main topics of the first Ingentis Innovation Days, where around 100 invited guests and partners from various industries engaged in intensive discussions last week. A harmonious mix of solution demonstrations, best practices, scientific presentations and breakout sessions was organized at the event in the Fürth Ronhof to inform the participants about current trends in the HR environment and provide inspiration for their day-to-day work. Once again, it became clear that advanced data analysis has become indispensable in the HR sector in order to deal with current challenges, for example in recruitment and workforce management. In this context, Ingentis was able to vividly demonstrate how the company has transformed itself in recent years from an organizational chart specialist to a solution provider for people analytics and Org Design.

Inspiration from research and practice

Ingentis believes very strongly in the positive interaction between science and practice. For this reason, numerous presentations and sessions were designed or accompanied by Prof. Dr. Stephan Fischer, Professor of Human Resources Management and Organizational Consulting, Director at the Institute for Human Resources Research at Pforzheim University, and member of the Ingentis Advisory Board. Among other things, he inspired the audience by answering the question of how companies can use People and Org Analytics to prepare themselves for future challenges. In tandem with Miriam Schilling, Head of People and Organization at Vaude GmbH & Co. KG, he then transferred this topic to questions of sustainability by discussing whether this is becoming a voluntary, mandatory or strategic competitive factor in companies today. For the topic of “Modern forms of organization”, Fischer, together with Marc Wagner, Head of Employee Experience at Atruvia IT AG, raised the question of whether agility and ambidexterity are old wine in new bottles or why these topics may be more relevant than ever.

Best practices highlight challenges and solutions

In addition to traditional presentations, there were also application examples from customers. These came from a wide variety of industries and fields of application. For example, Sven Kompe, Agile Lead CoE Group Organizational Analytics at Volkswagen AG, spoke about how analytics is helping the Group to improve its corporate culture and increase its efficiency. Stefan Hahn, Team Leader HR Controlling / Compensation & Benefits at the s.Oliver Group, presented how the introduction of a dashboard for managers was successfully implemented. There were also positive examples from the public sector. Maik Heinermann, Team Leader HR Planning, Reporting and Evaluation at the City of Mannheim, explained how Ingentis org.manager was able to support crisis management during the coronavirus pandemic. This was just a selection of three case studies, which reflected the current challenges and tasks of the visitors very well. Further presentations were given by representatives from Multivac, Loh Services GmbH & Co. KG, ZF Friedrichshafen AG and Lanxess Deutschland GmbH.

Personal exchange was also a central element of the Ingentis Innovation Days. This not only took place during the breaks and over dinner, but was also encouraged by breakout sessions as part of two Innovation.LABs. In a moderated format, the guests were able to share their experiences on topics such as reorganization, people analytics, simulations, data management and agile forms of organization in greater depth and stimulate each other’s interest.

“We were delighted to be able to meet our customers and partners in person again for the first time since the coronavirus pandemic,” emphasizes Joachim Rotzinger, CEO of Ingentis. “In this context, we were once again able to experience what a strong customer community Ingentis has and how much our events are appreciated as a forum for mutual exchange among the HR and organizational experts of the companies present. It was clear to see that today’s challenges call for new solutions. These are very often in the area of people analytics and organizational design, so that we can provide optimal support with our portfolio. The overall organizational effectiveness will benefit greatly from advanced data analytics in the future.”
