More Than Just a Claim

A New Self-Image

The company Ingentis

“Ingentis is the house of HR add-ons that gives its customers more time for the essentials with inspiring software.” That has been our claim since 2013. As correct and important as this self-image may have been ten years ago, it no longer reflects the reality of 2023.

Ingentis has seen massive growth in recent years, and with our team of more than 100 people across the globe, we’re ready to take on what’s next. In 2022, our management team underwent a complete transformation, and we realized that our solutions have allowed over 2,000 customers to make their organizations more successful, not just by freeing up time for the essentials but by actually doing them.

From an Org Chart Solution to a People Analytics and Org Design Tool

Ingentis org.manager has come a long way since its inception as an org chart solution. Our consultants and development team have worked together to customize the tool in countless customer projects, keeping it up to date with daily automatic updates.
Don’t worry, org.manager can still do org charts (better than any other). But beyond that, so much more.

Since this year, we have bundled the supposedly new application areas of org.manager under the umbrella terms Org Analytics Software and Org Design Software. Whether in terms of succession planning, implementing diversity strategies, reorganizations and M&As or increasing organizational effectiveness – HR professionals, organizational developers and managers from our customer base use org.manager for all this and much more on a daily basis.

We don’t give them more time for the essentials. With our tools, they do the essentials.

    Our Rebranding: Innovation via Legacy

It has already been mentioned: Hardly anyone outside our customer base noticed the org.manager metamorphosis from an org chart solution to a people and org analytics tool. This was certainly also due to the fact that we positioned and marketed ourselves as the “house of HR add-ons” – a vicious circle which we wanted to break in the summer of 2022. What is often the case in life, was also true for us: changes on the outside only succeed through changes on the inside.

A creative, humorous, yet meaningful response from one of our employee surveys on the topic of “origin.”

So, we started a company-wide rebranding process. We began by looking at ourselves and the value we offer customers. Through employee surveys and workshops, we began asking ourselves questions like: Where does Ingentis come from? What makes Ingentis special? Where does Ingentis want to go? It quickly became apparent that the many good attributes that have characterized Ingentis for over 25 years should be adopted and combined with forward-looking content. Thus, “Innovation via legacy” was born.

    Bringing Potential to Life

With the insights gained from the surveys and workshops, we began formulating a brand story that can potentially impact both internally and externally. After a few sessions, our story began to unveil:

With our solutions, we help companies gain organizational insights, broaden perspectives, and enhance collaboration – unlocking their full potential for the future.

From which we developed the claim:

    The Company Ingentis

    More Than Just a Claim

In rebranding, we unveiled a brand-new corporate design inspired by our story and promise. But let’s go straight to the core of our promise: “Bringing Potential to Life”. What does this mean for us, more than just a slogan?

By introducing a new corporate design based on our brand story and the claim “Bringing Potential to Life,” we emphasize that the message behind it is highly relatable. This claim can be interpreted in various ways by our company, its departments, employees, and other stakeholders, creating a shared understanding of our purpose.
    Two specific examples:

“Bringing Potential to Life” for our customers: As described above, org.manager has been expanded into a powerful people and org analytics tool in individual customer projects. Over the past few months, we have converted the most popular and valuable of these individual solutions into preconfigured modules. This will enable us to support companies even more quickly and easily in unlocking their potential and that of their employees in the future. You can find all the information about Ingentis org.manager Ready-to-run Solutions here.

“Bringing Potential to Life” for our employees: Our HR colleagues have also interpreted “Bringing Potential to Life” in their own way. For example, Ingentis is currently conducting broad-based development discussions where employees’ potential is first discovered, then discussed, and subsequently developed in a targeted manner. To fundamentally anchor the ‘idea of potential’ in the company, an offsite was also held in February 2023 under the motto “Bringing Potential to Life”.

    Conclusion

We are proud to have discovered an authentic positioning with “Bringing Potential to Life” that is both pleasing to the ear and perfectly encapsulates our past, present, and future. We believe it serves as a guiding light for our choices moving forward.
